Seven hells, what an episode!!!! This episode was basically one of the most disturbing that I have seen and we have seen some crap go down over the last 5 years, right? So since the last 10 minutes were so controversial and upsetting, I need some time to gather my thoughts so that will be in a later post.
Arya: I can’t even lie. I actually liked the scenes at the House of and Black and White. Now, I am still salty as hell that we have Jaqen instead of the Kindly Man and I don’t like the portrayal of the Waif, but all in all, I loved seeing the lying game finally. Don’t even tell me you didn’t have feels when Arya was lying about hating the Hound! It was pretty cool seeing the room with all of the faces too after piquing our interest for the last few episodes. I’m excited to see who Arya will become next. Here’s to hoping that we get Beth the Blind Girl. Or maybe the Ugly Little Girl.
Tyrion and Jorah: The scenes with Tyrion and Jorah were surprisingly good this week. The look of pain that came across Jorah’s face when he learned of his father’s death really touched me. I know I was all up in my feels when it happened and to experience those emotions through Jorah now hurt again. My favorite line of the night was the banter between them when Jorah said he could survive off of berries and roots. It inspired me to tweet this: https://twitter.com/TheLadyShelly/status/600106409108361216 YOURE WELCOME. If you don’t understand why this is funny, then please see me after class. I also liked Jorah telling Tyrion about Dany and his dedication to her. The slavers though? Eh. They seemed more comical than anything. So let’s see how it all plays out. Also, if anyone knows where to find a cock merchant, let Little Bird and I know.
Olenna and Cersei: BAAAAANTERRRRRRRR!!!! Wow was that fabulous. Cersei got straight REKT by the Queen of Thornes. I loved it. Finally someone calling Cersei out on all of her bullshit man. I really hope that we get to see more Diana Rigg. She is an absolute treasure and one of my favorite parts of Game of Thrones. The Queen Mother’s face after getting owned and called a tart was absolutely amazing.
Loras and Margaery: This made me angry. Ok, so the Faith is going to try Loras for his ‘”perversion” and Margaery for lying to the Faith. Ok, yeah. Awesome bro. There are so many things wrong with this, but I don’t even know where to begin. Being homosexual isn’t a crime in the realm of Westeros. Just as Lady Olenna put it, you can’t put every pillow biter on trial!!! It’s absurd. And as far as the birthmark is concerned, Olyvar was his squire. His JOB is to prepare him for battle and that includes donning his clothing and armor, right?? So it is totally feasible that he would have seen his leg and the distinctive birthmark.
Dorne: Where do I even start with this hot mess?? The only thing that I enjoy about Dorne is the scenery. There is not enough Doran. Ellaria is a vengeful woman, which is a complete change from her character in the books. And the Sand Snakes. Y U C K. They are essentially the same character 3 times-a knock off version of Xena the warrior princess. The fight scene with Bronn was the most absurd thing that I have ever seen in my life. Tyene trying to fight with daggers was about as successful as my 4 year old with chopsticks. I mean really. Put that girl in a dress and let her have her vials of poison! Give Nym back her knives! I’d also like to point out that I can hardly even concentrate on anything that Prince Trystane is saying because his chest hair is assaulting me as well.
Now if you all will excuse me, I need to go collect my thoughts about Sansa and Ramsay. What did you think of the episode? Let me know in the comments!
