Getting my toenails ripped out one by one.
Explosive diarrhea every day for the rest of my life.
Not being able to breathe out of my nose every night when I am trying to sleep.
All things I’d rather deal with than watch this Ramsay and Sansa storyline on Game of Thrones. Not only is it the most vile, disgusting and painful story to ever happen on this show, but it is just unnecessary. Yes. Unnecessary. Now, there are some people that think that it makes sense. Some people would rather see this story unfold because it will “make them actually care” or because “Jeyne Poole is so boring” or even “maybe Sansa will teach Ramsay how to become a better person.” Seriously guys, I can’t make this stuff up. It was actually said by some people on social media *cough cough facebook*
Now, I understand the need for consolidating characters. I also understand the idea of not wanting to introduce so many new characters. And I also understand that Sansa’s book journey essentially came to an end last season so the desire to include her this season was strong. But, including Sansa could have been done much more tactfully. Much more cleanly. Much more creatively. There’s no reason why Sansa could not have remained in the Vale and carried on a storyline there, right? I mean there is plenty they could have done with that. Mayhaps even included Harry the Heir? Instead, Sansa has now become betrothed to the one of the most sadistic characters that I have ever encountered in literature. Ramsay Snow (I refuse to call him Bolton *Kanye shrug*) is absolutely unworthy of Sansa Stark and especially because it is the REAL Sansa!! Not fArya like in the books!
The ONE thing that I do like about this, is that it wasn’t eliminated entirely. Before you freak out, let me explain. Bringing in Sansa or fArya or another woman for that matter, still allows Theon to fulfill his redemption arc and for me, that was one of my favorite parts of A Dance with Dragons. Theon needs this. And now that Sansa is entwined in the clutches of the family responsible for the murder of her brother, she needs Theon more than ever. Here’s to hoping that Theon will save her before it is too late because man, I don’t think I can stomach what the show runners might have Ramsay do to her.
